Photo Navigation - Asset

The Photo Navigation offers a consistent photo consumption experience across all of Bentley’s « Powered by iTwin » web applications.

Prior to being able to use the Photo Navigation tool, a Mapping Ressource must be created and associated with the asset. For more information on these steps, go to the Publish result of a iTwin Capture Modeler aerotriangulation for the Photo Navigation page.

Once the Mapping Resource is created, it must be associated with the Asset model. For more information on how to associate reality data with an asset, go to the Reality Data section of this wiki.

Steps to use the Photo Navigation tool:

1) Open the Model asset, and turn ON the reality data you want to use with the photo navigation.

2) Open the Reality Data Widget and turn ON the reality data you want to use with the photo navigation.

3) Click the "Show Orbit Photo Navigation" button at the top of the Reality Data Widget.

4) A new viewport is added to the right of the Reality Data Web Viewer's application window.

5) Use the "Photo Navigation" tab at the top of the Reality Data Widget to manage the display of Reality Data of type "Mapping Resource".

*Note: If there is only one Reality Data of type "Mapping Resource" associated with the current ProjectWise Project, it will be automatically selected.

6) Optionally use the "Model" tab at the top of the Reality Data Widget to manage the display of Reality Data in the left-most viewport.

7) From the Photo Navigation tool, click on the Select Point of Interest option or click on the Select a Camera option. If you click on Select Point of Interest and click in the model view. The photos showing that point are listed in the Photo Navigation view. You can select a thumbnail at the bottom and see the high-resolution corresponding photo.

If you click the Select Camera option, the photo corresponding to the selected camera will be displayed in the Photo Navigation view.
